Overview
A Completely Redesigned Silverado
Chevrolet is preparing to launch its next-generation Silverado 1500, and it represents the biggest change to the truck in years. Every panel, every powertrain option, and nearly every piece of the interior has been reworked from the ground up, aiming to give Ashland area buyers a more capable, more refined, and more technologically advanced truck than the current model.
The new lineup will offer four engine choices, including a pair of all-new V8s, giving drivers more flexibility depending on whether they need everyday commuting efficiency or serious towing muscle. Luck Chevrolet will begin taking interest for the new Silverado ahead of its expected late 2026 arrival.
Powertrain
Four Engines, All-New V8 Power
The redesigned lineup will be offered with four available engines, including new 5.7L and 6.6L V8 options built for serious work. Chevrolet has also carried forward its class-exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel and an upgraded TurboMax engine, giving the new Silverado 1500 what Chevrolet describes as its most capable and refined powertrain lineup to date.
Chevrolet's American-assembled V8 engines trace back to 1955, and the new 5.7L and 6.6L units mark the latest step in that lineage, engineered specifically to push power and torque higher than the outgoing model.
Exterior Design
A Bolder, More Planted Stance
Chevrolet redrew the front end with a stronger, more expressive grille and a wider, more planted stance, while keeping the silhouette unmistakably a Chevy truck. Signature LED headlamps and taillamps, dual exhaust with a tailgate appliqué, and a center high-mounted brake lamp round out the new exterior details.
Off-road focused shoppers will also be able to step up to the ZR2 or Trail Boss, both of which pair a two inch factory lift with aggressive 35 inch tires for genuine trail capability rather than just off-road styling.
Interior & Technology
Major Tech, Modern Cabin
- Over 60 inches of combined available screens
- Class-leading 16.3 inch center touchscreen
- New available 11.5 inch front passenger screen
- Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance with trailering
- New available Multi-Flex Center Console
- Panoramic sunroof standard on High Country, available elsewhere
The redesigned cabin pairs an edge-to-edge digital layout with a class-leading 12.2 inch Driver Information Center, giving the new Silverado one of the most tech-forward interiors Chevrolet has ever put in a full-size truck.
Off-Road Capability
ZR2 and Trail Boss Push the Limits
For drivers who want to leave the pavement behind, the ZR2 and Trail Boss trims bring a relentless, purpose-built off-road resume. A factory two inch lift and ZR2-exclusive 35 inch mud-terrain tires give both trims genuine trail credibility, while aggressive exterior styling signals the added capability underneath.
